Our belief and environment, is filled with standards that are higher than any other state certified school.
Health/Hygiene: We display our health/hygiene awareness in every part of our day. From hand washing to daily cleaning to letters sent home to parents… we always take the extra precaution when health is addressed.
COVID-19: We have taken great precautions when it comes to keeping our staff, children & families of LDS healthy and safe during this pandemic. Daily health screenings are done before any child or staff member enters the facility including taking everyone's temperature before they enter and throughout the day, strict exclusion policy for children/staff displaying any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, rigorous hand washing routines as well as deep cleaning of facility, classrooms and toys on a daily basis.
Safety/Security: The safety of our children is a priority at Lawrence Day School. All of our doors are locked from the outside. Unexpected visitors are unable to enter our facility. We make it a priority to have someone readily available to assist visitors at the front door. In cases of emergencies all doors do open from the inside. Lawrence Day School is equipped with video cameras throughout the building. Surveillance is available from the main office.
Staff: All of our head teachers have extensive experience in the field of education along with appropriate degrees and certifications. Teachers/caregivers provide lots of love, development and guidance for our children. Fingerprinting and background checks are completed for each individual staff member before employment begins. All of our staff members are First Aid and CPR trained and certified. Our teachers nurture a love for learning that creates a solid educational foundation for the years to come.
Adaptive Schedule: To accommodate parent's varying schedules in these demanding times we offer flexible schedules and scholarships, to qualified families.
Food Program: We serve healthy, well-balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack on a daily basis. Proper nutrition is an important part of good health as well as a good child care center. Children need well-balanced meals in order to meet their daily energy needs and to help them build strong bodies and minds. All of our meals will follow patterns set by the CACFP.
